My remote is not working, and I have replaced the batteryUpdated a month ago
You have replaced the battery in the remote with a new one, and it is still not working?
Please check the following:
- Has the battery been put in correctly? This is a common mistake.
- Sometimes batteries have a very thin cellophane film around them that prevents connection. Please remove this.
- Many of the remotes require a good quality battery (Duracell, Ever Ready etc), please check the current battery being used and replace with one from those brands.
If none of the above works, please check the following:
- Does the electric motor open the door? There should be a button on the electric motor which will initiate the opening/closing. If you press this and the door does not open/close, it suggests the electric motor is broken and needs repairing or replacing. If it does open/close the door, then it indicates the issue is with the remote.
- Does a light come on when you press the remote buttons? If not, it suggests the remote is broken and needs replacing. If it does, it suggests the remote is working and it might need reprogramming so it can communicate with the electric opener.
If you are unsure, please contact our team who will be able to advise further.
