How do I select the correct Garador MK4/F-Type Spring?Updated a month ago
The Garador MK4 (also known as F-Type) door is a canopy up and over door manufactured up to 2002. This model of door had distinctive side springs, enclosed inside the metal frame surrounding the door and operates without any support cables. These springs are a double spring, with inner spring surrounded by high-impact plastic tube.
On the end of the spring, stamped into the metal may be the spring number. If the spring is quite old, this may have rusted off. The spring number may also be on a sticker on the back of the door, e.g. 4-401. In these instances, you can just select the required spring from the dropdown menu.
In situations where there is no sticker on the back of the door, or the PN number is not an option on the dropdown menu, you will need to use the spring table further down the item page to determine which one is needed.
Before starting, you will need to know:
1. Door material (steel, fibreglass, or timber)
2. Door width and height
3. Door exterior pattern
Once you have this information, consult the spring table for the correct MK4 Spring version to use.
