How do I select the correct Garador DC/CM Spring?Updated a month ago

The Garador DC or CM doors were double canopy doors supplied pre-2002. These doors usually had two springs running down either side of the door. The link pivot arm on the door was usually a straight box section, although older types may have a kinked arm.

On the end of the spring, stamped into the metal may be the spring number. If the spring is quite old, this may have rusted off. The spring number may also be on a sticker on the back of the door, e.g. 701. In these instances, you can just select the required spring from the dropdown menu.

In situations where there is no sticker on the back of the door, the number has rusted off the spring, or the spring number is not an option on the dropdown menu, you will need to use the spring table further down the item page to determine which one is needed.

Before starting, you will need to know:

1. Door material (steel, fibreglass, or timber)

2. Door width and height

3. Door exterior pattern

Once you have this information, consult the spring table for the correct DC/CM Spring version to use.

If you are unsure, please contact our team and we can advise on the best choice.
