How do I measure the spring?Updated 9 months ago

To ensure you are ordering the correct spring, it is useful to measure your current spring and compare the measurements to those listed in the specification section of the spring you are interested in, or against those listed in the spring finder table. 

To ensure that your measurements are correct, please make sure to do the following:

• The spring must be contracted (relaxed) rather than stretched.
• The spring length measurement is just the coil body, the end hooks should not be included. 
• The spring diameter is the outside diameter of the spring body, not the internal diameter. 

Once you know the spring length, diameter, wire diameter, and number of coils, you should be able to find the correct spring using our spring finder table.
