What security lock should I use?Updated a year ago

Security locks can provide extra security for your valuables and can also act as a deterrent, as some are very prominent when installed. 

Below I will outline the different security locks we have, and the types of doors they can be installed on. 

Garage Defender (inc. Padlock)

Types of doors: Up-and-over doors (Canopy and Retractable)

Installed in front of the garage door, its prominent position acts as a deterrent to potential thieves. This product includes an independent, concealed armoured padlock which is extremely difficult to damage or break into. 

Garage Defender Master (inc. Padlock)

Types of doors: Up-and-over doors (Canopy and Retractable)

Installed in front of the garage door, its prominent position acts as a deterrent to potential thieves. Solid steel hardened shackle-less padlock provides maximum pick and pry resistance. 

Bulldog GR500 Roller Shutter Door Lock

Types of doors: Roller Shutters

Physically holds the door to the ground, making it very difficult to prise the door open. Can be installed on the inside or outside of the roller shutter. 

Autolok Stoppa

Types of doors: Roller Shutters, Up-and-Over Doors (Canopy and Retractable)

Provides an internal brace helping to prevent external attack. Can be fitted centrally or 2 in each lower corner for extra protection. 

Asec Garage Door Lock Bolts

Types of door: Up-and-Over doors (Canopy and Retractable), Sectional Doors

This lock uses bolts fit shoot into the frames of the door to help prevent it being opened. They are discrete which is great for those who do not want to alter the look of their door. 

Bulldog GR250 Garage Door Lock

Types of door: Sliding doors, sheds, gates, storage containers

This is a pick resistant lock and the high visibility of it helps to deter potential thieves. 

Bulldog GD20 Garage Door Lock

Types of door: Up-and-Over Doors (Canopy and Retractable)

The bright red colour acts as a deterrent and the installation does not require you to modify the door. 

Bulldog GD400 Garage Door Lock

Types of door: Up-and-Over (Canopy and Retractable), Sectional, Roller Shutter

Anti-pick and anti-drill lock bolt in a hardened case provides a high level of security. Can be installed outside to act as a deterrent or inside if preferred. 

Heavy Duty Padbolt

Types of doors: Up-and-Over Doors (Canopy and Retractable), Swing Gates

A heavy duty security bolt which can be attached to the top or bottom of the door. May be used with padlock for even more security.
